Vintage Book Piece Clear Lucite and Black Bakelite Cameo Brooch

This listing is for wonderful example of early plastic jewelry from the late 1930s-1940s. Measuring 2 1/8" high and 1 7/8" wide, the rounded edged Lucite brooch features a black Bakelite cameo. The piece is included in Leigh Leshner's 2005 book, "Collecting Art Plastic Jewelry", page 73. It was purchased at auction from her private collection. The clasp is secure and it is in good vintage condition. A lovely brooch as well as a collector's piece!
